Lebailly SA is an SME family business with a workforce of 30, founded in 1842. It operates two clay quarries and a factory making ceramic products in Hautrage. The clay extracted is used in the terracotta, raw earth, refractory, cement and civil engineering (sealing) sectors.
The factory produces:
- refractory bricks and tiles used in industry as well as in the residual sector for food ovens, barbecue grills, mass stoves, and wood or other types of hearths.
- urban paving stones made of terracotta, factory slabs and tiles made of traditional sandstone for industrial and residential flooring (new construction or renovations)
For the green building sector, Lebailly SA also produces raw-earth-based materials:
This is the "Hautrage earth" range: compressed earth bricks available in many formats, clay-based wall coatings and mortars. The selective use of the two quarries offers several types of clay of different colours and plasticity which are mixed with other local natural materials (sand, sandstone, etc.).
As a medium-sized company, Lebailly SA has demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness and is ready to support its customers for specific projects: feel free to contact us!
