The core aim of AVATAR guidance (for AdVanced Assembling Technologies and Additive manufacturRing) is to promote the integration and use of innovative production and assembly technologies within businesses. The guidance covers two major aspects of innovative technology: additive fabrication on the one hand, and assembly my means of welding on the other, associated with simulation methods and monitoring and characterization tools.
Avatar aims to help businesses better evaluate the use of these new technologies to (re)design products that are more effective and responsive to environmental challenges. Using active and normative technology intelligence, it informs, advises, trains and directs businesses throughout their developments. Avatar covers applications relying on metallic, polymer, ceramic and composite materials.
