Specialising in research into innovative textures and the creation of textiles and flexible new high added value materials, A+Z Design studio constantly experiments with new developments combining the best of advanced technology and artisan creation. This exploration comes within the context of compliance with ecological and hypoallergenic standards. Research is A+Z Design's strength, which since its initial developments in 2008, has combined a chemist with the studio's design work. The duo have won several prizes for their research and design work: prize winners at the Design Biennial in 2008 for their Polymer Lace; Boost-Up prize in 2011 for their Glacis Textile; Worth 2015 prize. They have also just been nominated for the Théophile Legrand Textile Innovation - French Institute 2015 Prize, with their "Laser Lace" development, a patent for which has been applied for. More precisely, this is a matter of the microperforated lace on natural silk or fine wood that A+Z Design chose to present at Métamorphoses this year. With a wealth of experience from many international exhibitions and a large format installation in situ - currently in the France Pavilion at the Milan universal expo, as well as production experience for the luxury sector - the studio supplies custom products to the largest French Haute Couture houses. A+Z Design offers exceptional products always providing a wealth of visual and tactile surprises.
